Giuseppe Raffaele Levi (1814-1874), Italian writer, rabbi, professor, and publisher, founder and director of Educatore Israelita, the first Jewish newspaper in Italy. He was born in Vercelli and for over fifty years taught at the Collegio Foa di Vercelli in his hometown.
