This is a copy of the first printed Journal of the House of Representatives of the Massachusetts-Bay colony.

Ford's Introduction says that the House of Representatives and the Governor were often at odds, and the House deemed it expedient to have their Journals published both as a means of swaying public opinion and as a defense against misrepresentations.

This book allows one to follow the proceedings of the legislature in 1715 and to gain an understanding of what was happening in the Province in that year.

An interesting window into post-Puritan New England.
