This volume contains the 12 issues for 1865. It is replete with articles of interest to the women of the day, and has lovely hand-colored fashion plates.

This American women's magazine was founded and edited by Sarah Webb Peterson (1829-1891). It was published in ten volumes from 1864 to 1873. Her husband, Henry Peterson (1818-1891), editor and publisher, was for thirty years the editor of The Saturday Evening Post.
