Eva March Tappan (1854-1930), a native of Massachusetts. She graduated from Vassar College (1875), taught Latin and German at Wheaton College (1875-1880), was the associate principal at the Raymond Academy in Camden, New Jersey, and afterwards was head of the English department at the English High School, Worcester, Massachusetts. She wrote many books for children on history and famous persons.
