Full calf with gilt-decorated spine, rubbed yet with very good joints, 7 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches. The front hinge was partly opened and we used some pH neutral paste to firm it up. Ffep torn with a loss at bottom 25%, frontispiece tattered some near the bottom of the hinge. Engraved frontis with 20 portraits. Old signature & soil to title page. 444 pages printed in double columns, tight. Good. Hardcover.
