This memorial volume by several contributors relates the life of Bishop White as well as some of his many accomplishments as well as his abilities as a church leader. There is also a section of biographies of Archbishop Moore and the English Co-Consecrators. The Letters take up pages 250-283 and there is a 16-pp. bibliography of writings devoted to Bishop White published before 1937.
William White (1748-1836), first and fourth presiding bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church, chaplain to the Continental Congress, second US Senate chaplain, and the first bishop of the Diocese of Pennsylvania.
