A description of the Adirondack country, the iron mining, lumber, and commerce potential, and the proposed railroad that would facilitate these ventures. The project had been underway since 1864 and was completed in 1871.
This pamphlet promotes the plan to extend the railway from Saratoga Springs, past Long Lake, and on to Ogdensburgh.
