The points are I. That the Gospel is a supernatural revelation; II. That the Gospel is a Divine revelation, containing a scheme of salvation by grace; and III. The Divinely revealed scheme of salvation by grace, is the ONLY way in which men are saved.
William Addison Houghton (1812-1891). Rev. Houghton was graduated at Yale (1840) and the Yale Divinity School (18443). A Congregational minister, he pastor at Northborough, Mass. (1843-51) and was for twenty-five years the pastor of the church in Berlin, Massachusetts (1853-1878).
