Charles Lindsey (1820-1908), b. Strubby, England; d. Toronto, Ontario. A journalist, Lindsay wrote and edited for Reformist publications. He was an honorary commissioner ot the 1855 World Exposition in Paris, and was an inaugural member of the Royal Society of Canada. He was an active participant in the nationalist Canada First movement and the editor of their journal, The Nation.
