William Walsham How (1823-1897), Anglican minister (ordained 1847), known for his ministries to the poor and outcasts of London. He was joint editor of Psalms and Hymns (1854) and Church Hymns (1871), being the author of some sixty hymns. He was made Suffragan Bishop in East London (1879) and Bishop of Wakefield (1888).
