The twenty-nine large folio prints measure 32 x 42 cm (11 5/8 x 16 1/2 inches) and are in very good to fine condition. A few have some bumping at corners, affecting the margins only, and could be easily matted out. Bright, vibrant colors. Their are 4 pages of letterpress, with descriptions in German of each plate. This will also include the large blue cloth portfolio, which is in poor condition with the front completely detached. We bought this some years ago when we did a library cleanout, and there are markings on the portfolio, but no markings on the plates. The plates are clean.

This is a complete set as issued of Fische und Heimat, die Süsswasserfische und ihre Gëwasser von Dr.-Ing. Karl Rühmer: Aquarelle nach der Natur von Richard Wagner, published by Germanen Verlag Ebenhausen bei München, no date but the Deutsche National Bibliothek suggests the date of 1955; the date 1944 is written in an inscription on the portfolio flap.
These are high-quality plates - they have the indentations around the images that show the pressing process into the paper. The are pressed into a glossy white stock. We don’t know the particular name for this color process.
