Then particulars about the Reformed Dutch, Episcopal, French, Quaker, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Moravian, Baptist, Methodist, and Reformed Presbyterian churches. A chapter on the Jews, and an alphabetical list by denomination of the 150 churches & synagogues in the city as of 1838. Each denomination is fairly treated, with many particulars mentioned regarding ministers and congregations.
