First published in 1855, after the author's 1856 trip to Europe he included observations from his trip in subsequent printings. This autobiography gives accounts of camp meetings and evangelism in the first half of the 19th century.
Andrew Manship (1824-1892) b. Caroline Co., Maryland. A minister with the Methodist Episcopal Church, Manship's ministry included that of a pastor, tract agent, missionary to Philadelphia, editor, and author.
