The twenty-fifth anniversary of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, New York, was the occasion for compiling this history. Rev. Cuyler was their founding pastor and was still leading the church twenty-five years later. The book includes the proceedings and addresses of the anniversary, including those of Rev. Cuyler, that of Richard S. Storrs, Charles S. Robinson, and Mayor Low.
The historical section includes notices of the revivals of 1866 and 1872.
