John Peddie (1838-1891), b. Ancaster, Ontario; d. Philadelphia, Pa. He was baptized at the age of seventeen and committed himself to the Baptist ministry. After some time he entered college at Madison University, now Colgate University, in Hamilton, NY. Over the course of his life Peddie was pastor of Baptist churches in Watertown, NY; Albany, NY; Chicago; Philadelphia; and New York City.
