We need help identifying some Chinese books
These came in with a lot of missionary material pertaining to China and the Far East. We are looking for information about them, origin, age, retail value. Please contact us if you are able to help.
A note with the books says that they written by hand in Chinese and are related to Buddhism, as Sovereign Kings of the Golden Light Sutra, written by Huang-Ming Chin.
First item: Remnants of silk or other patterned cloth over thin card. Bottocover detached. Manuscript paper label to front cover, 18.2 x 3.5 cm. The panels are 29 x 11 cm. This item has 67 panels. Black ink, hand-written, with small red circles as punctuation or emphasis. There is a small ink name stamp on the verso of one of the panels that is difficult to make out, but it might read “Rev. John A. ____”?
